Programs

Since the ICAA Southeast Chapter’s founding, educational programs have been an integral part of our mission to advance the contemporary practice and appreciation of the classical tradition. From drawing the classical orders, to ink wash rendering and watercolor, and proportion courses, education is a vital component of the Chapter’s programming each year.  Please browse our Upcoming Events page for all of our local chapter programs.

The educational programs are created with the intention of making them accessible for classical enthusiasts of all backgrounds. Additionally, many of our courses also qualify as continuing education for architects who are registered with the AIA. Many of the classes also apply toward the 100 credit hours one needs to earn the Certificate in Classical Architecture from the Institute.  More information on the certificate program can be found here. Whether you are an architect, a design professional, an artist, or an individual with a passion for classical architecture and the allied arts, we hope you will find a course that inspires you here.

The New York National office of the Institute offers numerous classes throughout the year as well as multi-day and week-long courses.  The Winter Intensive is offered every January.  More information about the programming offered in New York may be found here.

Beginning in the summer of 2015 the Summer Studio in Classical Architecture an immersive program in the study of classical architectural design will be offered in New York City.  Additional information and an application may be found here.
